Coats launches software division for the fashion industry

The industrial thread manufacturer, whose clients include Nike, H&M Group, Under Armour and Gap, said the new business unit called Coats Digital will encompass multiple software brands dedicated to improving customers productivity and operational efficiency.Keith Fenner has been appointed as managing director of Coats Digital. With over 20 years of experience across the global technology sector, he joins from Microsoft, where he was group director for business applications in the Middle East and Africa. 

Keith Fenner said: “This is the beginning of an exciting new age for our software solutions offering… While Coats continues to be an industrial manufacturing company we are also innovating technologies of tomorrow to improve how the fashion industry develops, costs, sources and manufactures products sustainably into the future.”The new division builds on a series of acquisitions, including Threadsol – a cloud-based digital applications provider.Coats Digital will serve more than 65 countries, leveraging the company’s global customer relationships with over 5,000 retailers, bands, sourcing business and manufacturers.
